“I don’t always ignore government health advice, but when I do, I end up healthier”

“I don’t always ignore government health advice, but when I do, I end up healthier” is an anti-government saying. Government’s health advice might be influenced by milllions of dollars from Big Pharma, but health organic food, for example, doesn’t have this influential lobby. Also, government pays out Social Security and has a financial interest in people living shorter lives.
 
The meme often clearly imitates “The Most Interesting Man in the World” commericals by Dos Equis, where he says, “I don’t always drink beer, but when I do, it’s Dos Equis.” The government health advice saying began in 2022, during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
