One lawyer joke is:
   
Q: How are an apple and a lawyer alike?
A: They both look good hanging from a tree.
 
The lawyer joke has been cited in print from at least September 1998.
 
Other versions of the joke have attacked blacks and Jews. “What do NIGGERS & APPLES have in common?” was cited in April 1997 and “what do Jews and Apple’s have in common?” was cited in May 1998.
