Hocto Dog or Hoctodog (octopus hot dog)

A “hocto dog” or “hoctodog” is an octopus hot dog. “Hoctodog” has been cited in print since at least 2007, when it described a hot dog cut into strips to resemble an octopus.
 
Eater—Washington, DC on December 29, 2017, described a menu item at Brothers and Sisters in the The Line Hotel, 1770 Euclid Street NW, Washington, DC:
 
The octopus hot dog at Brothers and Sisters features roasted octopus, yogurt, cucumber, and herb pesto sandwiched inside a potato roll. “I’m hearing people call it the ‘hocto’ dog,” Erik Bruner-Yang says.
