Harmaceutical (harm + pharmaceutical)

Some people who believe that pharmaceuticals can cause harm have used the portmanteau name “harmaceutical” (harm + pharmaceutical).
 
“Harmaceuticals (pun intended)” was posted on the newsgroup Google Groups: alt.cyberpunk on September 20, 1993. “millions are killed each year by over the counter harmaceuticals” was posted on X/Twitter by The Pun Gents on April 6, 2009. “#harmaceuticals” was posted on X/Twitter by Vanguard Bots™ on October 14, 2010. “harmaceutical  A medication FDA approved and released for public consumption by a pharmaceutical company only to be re-called and be the subject of a class-action lawsuit because of its previouslly unreported dangers” was entered in the Urban Dictionary on November 13, 2010.
 
“Big Harma” (Big Pharma + harm) is a related term.
