Grope and Fail (Globe and Mail nickname)

ENtry in progress—B.P.
The Globe and Mail

The Globe and Mail is a nationally distributed Canadian newspaper owned by The Woodbridge Company, based in Toronto and printed in six cities across the country. With a weekly readership of approximately 950,000 in 2011, it is Canada’s largest-circulation national newspaper and second-largest daily newspaper after the Toronto Star. The Globe and Mail is regarded by some as Canada’s “newspaper of record”. Due to its long association with its city of origin, it is often referred to as the Toronto Globe & Mail though this is not how the paper is marketed.

Geez, if you’re going to disparage it, at least get the derogatory nickname correct:  It’s the Grope and Fail.
