“Great teams don’t lose twice in a row”
“Great teams don’t lose twice in a year” is a sports saying that doesn’t appear to have any specific authorship. “Good teams don’t lose twice in a row” was cited in print in 2006. “I heard an old saying that great teams don’t lose twice in a row” was cited in print in 2013.

Good teams don’t lose twice in a row, especially after a game they know they didn’t play well in. We shall find out a little more about our team tonight.

On what Gonzaga’s demeanor should be like: “They aren’t going to drop drastically. And Washington State is a good team. They showed us that…twice. But good teams don’t lose twice in a row very often.”

‘Noles need bounce-back win against Clemson
February 28, 2009|By Andrew Carter
TALLAHASSEE—Toney Douglas and Luke Loucks, two guards at Florida State, were standing at separate times on Thursday in separate parts of the Seminoles’ basketball facility, talking to separate groups of reporters about their team’s game today against Clemson, and both repeated the same mantra.
“Coach [Leonard Hamilton] has said that every championship team you look at, they never lose two in a row,” said Loucks, a freshman reserve.
And then, a few minutes later, Douglas said, “Our coaches always tell us—great teams don’t lose twice in a row.”

Like coach has said a hundred times…good teams don’t lose twice in a row. I’ll add that good teams don’t let a rival beat them twice, especially with so much still on the line.

Due to their really poor record in temperatures below 60 degrees or so, I initially vote 0.8. Due to the 0.5014 chance that we think we’ll beat VPISU, that increases the chance that we’ll win this game (“Great teams don’t lose twice in a row”, Paul Johnson 2008), so I’m upping it to 0.9.

I heard an old saying that great teams don’t lose twice in a row. Even when stacked with two back to back tough games, the falcons rarely lose twice in a row. I think that sticks this season. Regardless of what their record is, they won’t lose back to back.
