GOPe or GOP-e

“GOPe” or “GOP-e” (GOP + e) usually stands for the Grand Old Party (Republican) establishment. “The three ‘E’s of the GOP-E” published on Free Republic on June 18, 2012 gave the three explanations of “establishment,” “elite” and “enablers.” GOPe represents big money interests (such as banks and corporations), but not the people (such as the middle class).

“Need anything else be said as to why we don’t trust the GOP-E?” was cited on Free Republic on July 16, 2011. The term became popular in January 2012. “Pretty amazing how the pejorative ‘the GOPE’ (GOP Establishment) arose almost spontaneously the last few days” was cited on Twitter on January 27, 2012.

I cannot believe voters are buying the GOP-E meme that Romney is the most electable. Romney is not electable.

The three “E"s of the GOP-E. What does the “E” mean? Here is what it means.

I still get republicans who scratch their heads and wonder what “GOP-E” means. Show this to them. The “E” means:

(1)Establishment.
It really is _us_ conservatives vs THEM in the establishment. And I don’t mean “established”. Just because someone gets elected, yes, they get ‘established’ in their various positions and offices. But “The Establishment” is a specific group, they are the

(2)Elite
of the republican party. But why do we conservatives have so much disdain for the establishment? It’s because they are

(3)Enablers
Of people like Obama, or Reid, or anybody else. How often do you hear someone like Pelosi get up on the house floor in order to pitch for the latest big government push and the phrase “...... that democrats and republicans have supported…....” comes out of their mouth?(or a phrase just like it)

The GOPe has strived to change the Republican party into a Dem-lite PR campaign… Trump, the king of PR, says NO. What to do, what to do.

We’ve excelled in one other area, too — insult generation, especially within the coalition. We’ve heard about RINOs for quite a while, and the epithet “GOP-e” for establishmentarians began arising not long ago, which is amusing beyond belief, considering that it takes majorities to do anything within the US political system. Florida political analyst and activist Rick Wilson poked fun at that earlier today:
