“Good! Like Nedicks!” (Nedicks Restaurants)

Marty Glickman introduced some sports language, most notably "swis" in basketball. He was the mentor of broadcaster Marv Albert. "Good! Like Nedicks!" was one of Glickman's calls after a successful basket.

There is at least one Nedicks restaurant left, near Eighth Avenue and opposite Madison Square Garden. Nedicks is known for its hot dogs.

His trademark call of "Swish!" for a basketball shot that went in without touching the rim or backboard was as familiar to New York listeners as "Good! Like Nedicks!" The call referred to the name of the Knicks' sponsor, a chain of hot-dog stands.
