American comedian Tim Hawkins tweeted on December 1, 2012:
 
“Good friends are like fine wine. That’s why I keep mine locked in the cellar.”
 
The joke quickly became very popular. “Good food, good friends, good wine, good times” is a related saying, but without the humor.
