“Golf is tee-rific” (“Golf is tee-rrific”)

Many stories about golf spell the word “terrific” as “tee-rific” or “tee-rrific.” “It’s TEE-rific” was cited in a 1950 golf advertisement. “She’s a tee-rrific hostess” was said about someone advertising for the Los Angeles Open in 1957.
