Fauci Ouchie (Covid-19 vaccination, after Dr. Anthony Fauci)
The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic brought national fame to Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and the chief medical advisor to the president. Vaccinations were sometimes dubbed a “Fauci Ouchie” (“ouchie” because the jab might initially hurt). “Fauci Ouchie” has been printed on many images.
“I’m going to start calling sterilization injections the ‘Fauci Ouchie’” was posted on Twitter by CovertCalifornia on April 15, 2020. “Americans tend to believe anything that rhymes. So I suggest the U.S. name the vaccine after Dr. Fauci and then launch a ‘Get your Fauci Ouchie’ campaign” was posted on Twitter by Andrew Grose on December 3, 2020. “Can we call it the Fauci Ouchie? #vaccine” was posted on Twitter by Robyn Liu, MD, MPH, FAAFP on December 12, 2020. “Fauci Ouchie” was entered in the Urban Dictionary on January 24, 2021.
“Fauchi Ouchie,” “Faucie Ouchie” and “Fauchie Ouchie” are frequent misspellings.

A 6-year old ballet student asked me today if I’m excited about getting my “Fauci Ouchie” soon, and I will now be referring to the covid-19 vaccine as only that, because it’s the cutest thing ever.

Good luck, darling Clemmy.
You’ll probably get an ouchie vaccine (not the Fauchie Ouchie).
Treats and cuddles later. Promise.

My wife just shared something from FB she just read. A 6 year old ballet student asked her instructor if she was excited about getting her “Fauci Ouchie” soon. Gotta say I like that term. We just got our first Fauchi Ouchies on Thursday.
