Eggcellent (egg + excellent)

“Eggcellent” (egg + excellent) is a frequently used word joke whenever eggs are mentioned. “They are egg-cellent” was cited in print in 1870—one of at least two newspaper citations of “eggcellent” for this year.
 
Similar food terms include “bravocado” (bravo + avocado), “fermentastic” (ferment + fantastic) and “lobsterrific” (lobster + terrific).

We warrant his next sermon was eggcellent; he not only peeped but crowded in the discourse.
 
15 November 1870, The Critic (Washington, DC), “Critic Gossip,” pg. 4, col. 4:

Meet Vine master Ian Padgham

I’m not sure how I found Ian Padgham’s highly original collection of Vine videos, but boy are they some of the best I’ve ever stumbled upon. It doesn’t hurt that Padgham, a trained artist and former associate at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, now works at Twitter in the video department (where Vine was seemingly invented).
