Educashun (eye dialect spelling of “education”)
“Educashun” is a jocular spelling—using eye dialect—for the word “education.” “Educashun” has been cited in print since at least 1848. The humorist “Josh Billings” (Henry Wheeler Shaw, 1818-1885) frequently used “educashun” in his writings in the 1860s.
Other humorous misspellings of “education” include “edjamacation,” “educamation,” “educayshun” and “edumacation.”

I don’t no why Ron Paul is against the department of educashun because it is a good thing. I speak from expeareance having spent grades 1 thru 8 in a publick school, I learnt alot of good stuff about FDR and how he saved Amerika and stuff. All-so the robber barons made infants work in the coal mines, oh yeah world war one made the world safe for doemocracy and also for the 57 states.
Okay, for real, the DOE started on this day in history, May 16, 1980.
Public school education has NOT gotten better, since that dark day in history.
