“Don’t worry about what you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas…”

Many people are concerned about gaining “holiday pounds” over Thanksgiving and Christmas.

“It’s not what you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas that hurts but what you eat between Christmas and Thanksgiving!”—that is, the longer period counts more than the shorter holiday period—was printed in The Clarion-Ledger/Jackson Daily News (Jackson, MS) on December 1, 1974. “Don’t worry about what you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Worry about what you eat between Christmas and Thanksgiving” was posted on Twitter by FunnyOneLiners on December 19, 2010.

“It’s not what you eat between Christmas and New Year’s that makes you fat—it’s what you eat between New Year’s and Christmas” is a similar saying.

Consider—what and how much you eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas is not so important as what and how much you eat between Christmas and Thanksgiving. Think about it 😉

The real problem is not. . . how much we eat between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s how much we eat between Christmas and Thanksgiving.
