“Don’t wait. Vaccinate”
“Don’t wait. Vaccinate” (or “Don’t wait to vaccinate” is a vaccination slogan that has been used by many health departments in the United States. “Don’t wait to vaccinate until scared into it by the presence of small-pox” was printed in the Chicago (IL) Tribune on February 1, 1882. “If your hogs are not vaccinated, better have it done now. Don’t wait. Vaccinate” was printed in the Abbeville (LA) Meriodional on November 14, 1931. “DON’T WAIT—VACCINATE your flock for fowl pox at once. New vaccine in stock” was printed in the Princeton (IN) Clarion-News on November 26, 1947.
“The vaccination drive by the Health Dept. (remember?) was hypoed by the (Three—ed.) Flames’ song ‘Don’t Wait, Gate—Vaccinate!’” was printed in the Daily News (New York, NY) on April 20, 1948. “A ‘Don’t Wait—Vaccinate’ poster in connection with the current effort of the Durham County Chapter of the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis to get local residents of all age groups to get polio Salk vaccine inoculations” was printed in the Durham (NC) Sun on May 8, 1957.
The “Don’t wait. Vaccinate” slogan has been printed on many images.

Measles outbreak: City declares public health emergency with 285 confirmed cases

New York City declared a public health emergency Tuesday morning, ordering mandatory measles vaccinations for residents in parts of Williamsburg as the number of confirmed cases for the infection rose to 285 since Sept. 30.
Mayor Bill de Blasio said individuals and parents who ignore the order will be fined up to $1,000 and that “disease detectives” would question them. The outbreak is primarily affecting the Orthodox Jewish community.
