“Don’t put all my eggs in one basket? Nice try, basket industry”
“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” is a proverbial saying from at least the 1600s. The saying means not to risk everything on just one thing, but to spread the risk.
It’s not a saying to sell more baskets, but there are jokes. This joke was posted on X/Twitter by Dan Cronin on April 3, 2011, and it received over 1,200 likes:
