“Denial. Anger. Bargaining. Depression. Acceptance. The five stages of realizing you’re out of wine”

Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance have been called the “five stages of grief.” “The five stages of Monday; Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Wine” is a jocular saying that has been printed on several images.

Wikipedia: Five stages of grief
The five stages of grief model (or the Kübler-Ross model) states that those experiencing grief go through a series of five emotions: denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. Although commonly referenced in popular culture, studies have not empirically demonstrated the existence of these stages, and the model has been considered by some to be outdated and unhelpful in explaining the grieving process.

The model was introduced by Swiss-American psychiatrist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross in her 1969 book On Death and Dying, and was inspired by her work with terminally ill patients.
