“Dear Pringles, I can no longer fit my hand inside your tube of deliciousness”
Pringles potato chips are sold in tubes that prevent the chips from being crushed. Adults can’t fit their hands all the way inside the tubes, and there’s a joke letter to Pringles:
“Dear Pringles, Now that I am no longer a child, I can no longer fit my hand inside your tube of deliciousness. Work on that. Thanks.”
The joke letter was posted on Twitter on May 8, 2009. A slightly different form was posted on Twitter on March 12, 2011:
“Dear Pringles,
As I’m no longer a child, I cannot fit my hand inside your tubes of deliciousness.
Sincerely,
Everyone over 8.”
The jocular Pringles line has been printed on an ecard.
Pringles is a brand of potato and wheat-based stackable snack chips owned by the Kellogg Company. Originally marketed as “Pringles Newfangled Potato Chips”, Pringles are sold in more than 140 countries, and it was the fourth most popular snack brand after Lay’s, Doritos and Cheetos in 2012, with 2.2% market share globally, compared to Lay’s share of 6.7%. The snack was originally developed by Procter & Gamble (P&G), who first sold the product in 1967. P&G sold the brand to Kellogg’s in 2012.
