“Ramen” (noodles) sounds like “amen.” “Dear lord, I thank you for these noodles I am about to eat. Ramen” was posted on Twitter by Fidel Cashflow on September 20, 2011. The joke quickly went viral.
 
“Dear Lord Thank you for these noodles. In your name… ramen” was posted on Twitter on January 27, 2015 by American actor and comedian Nick Thune. Thune used the joke on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in January 2017.
