Corsicanan (inhabitant of Corsicana)

“Corsicanan” (or “Corsicanian”) is the name of an inhabitant of Corsicana, Texas. The name “Corsicanian” has been cited in print since at least 1871 and “Corsicanan” since at least 1899.
   
Both terms have appeared in the Corsicana (TX) Daily Sun newspaper, but “Corsicanan” appears both historically and currently with much greater frequency.

Corsicana is a city in Navarro County, Texas, United States. It is located on Interstate 45 some fifty-five miles south of downtown Dallas. The population was 24,485 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Navarro County.
