“Coronavirus is to be re-named the Schrodinger Virus” (joke)

The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic has been compared to Schrödinger’s cat. This was posted on Sickipedia on April 2, 2020:

“Coronavirus is to be re-named the Schrodinger Virus.
You either have it or you don’t.
You will only know when you are tested.
Until then you have it and you don’t.”

Wikipedia: 2019-20 coronavirus outbreak
The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic is an ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The outbreak was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei, China, in December 2019, and was recognised as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 11 March 2020.

Wikipedia: Schrödinger’s cat
Schrödinger’s cat is a thought experiment, sometimes described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935, during the course of discussions with Albert Einstein. It illustrates what he saw as the problem of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics applied to everyday objects. The scenario presents a hypothetical cat that may be simultaneously both alive and dead, a state known as a quantum superposition, as a result of being linked to a random subatomic event that may or may not occur.

Schrödinger’s virus
We cannot get tested this we can’t know our status.
We have to act as if we got the virus to avoid spreading it
We have to act as if we’ve never had the virus because it we did, we would be immune.
Therefore, we both have and don’t have the virus.

Covid is a Schrödinger virus
We can’t get tested, so we can’t know whether we have it or not
We have to act like we have it so we don’t spread it to others
We have to act like we’ve never had it, because we don’t know if we’re immune
Therefore we both have and don’t have it

Schrödinger’s virus:
We can’t get tested, so we don’t know if we have it or not.
We must act as though we have it, to avoid infecting others.
We must act as though we’ve not had it, to avoid being infected—we’re not immune if we’ve not had it.
Ergo we have it. And don’t.
