Should one have beer before candy, or candy before beer? This was posted on Tumblr by samshepard on March 1, 2025, and it received over 76,500 notes:

Hurricane Sandy caused much damage to the mid-Atlantic region of the United States in December 2012. So, the advice is to fill up on candy before beer, rather than to fill up on beer before candy.
 
“Beer before liquor, never sicker. Liquor before beer, never fear” and “Beer before wine, you’ll feel fine. Wine before beer, you’ll feel queer” are related sayings.
