Blue Anon

“Blue Anon” is a term similar to QAnon, but referring to the politically “blue” (such as Democrats). If “QAnon” is a term for people on the right who believe in conspiracies, “Blue Anon” is used for people on the left.
     
“Blue anon and qanon” was posted on Twitter by Erroneous JURISDICTION on August 12, 2020. “Blue Anon” was posted on Twitter by Munchausen by Trotsky on August 13, 2020. “‘Blue Anon’ Let’s make it happen” was posted on Twitter by Marxist Aurelius later on August 13, 2020. “I like to call propaganda disseminators like Chris ‘Blue Anon’. (Instead of Q anon)” was posted on Twitter by Wesley J Wiles #MMT Radical Environmentalist on August 21, 2020.
 
“Blue Anon” was entered in the Urban Dictionary, but was removed on March 7, 2021. The “Blue Anon” term then went viral, the Urban Dictionary was flooded with new definitions, and the term was restored to the dictionary.

The term “Blue Anon” is used by conservatives to describe left-wing conspiracists, and is a play-off of the right-wing conspiracist group name, “QAnon,” of which members were involved in the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, Newsweek reported.
 
Blue Anon is defined as a “group of Democrat voters, politicians and media personalities who spread left-wing conspiracy theories such as the Russia hoax, Jussie Smollett hoax, Ukraine hoax, Covington kids hoax, and Brett Kavanaugh hoax,” on Urban Dictionary’s website.
