BAHF, Inc. (Big Apple Hockey) is a not-for-profit organization. It was formed by a group of players with a passion and desire to promote and to increase public awareness of the sport of Field Hockey. This goal is being accomplished through global and diverse participation, thus greater visibility into the sport. The primary focus area of our outreach is the New York and Tri-State area.

It is the mission of BAHF, Inc. to foster the spirit of competition, exposure, development and participation in the sport of Field Hockey. Through this mission, we are creating an extended family of players and spectators that spans the globe.

The BAHF, Inc. organization hosts three tournaments during each calendar year:

The Big Apple Hockey Festival is a four-day international field hockey tournament that is held over Labor Day weekend.

The tournament brings together international, domestic and local field hockey communities to participate in a competitive and festive env-ironment.

Along with the tournament, there will be other events and activities. Some of those events are a Youth Art Contest and Exhibition, a Youth Field Hockey Clinic.

At the conclusion of the Youth Field Hockey Clinic, the participants will be divided into team and a mini tournament will be held. Awards will be presented to all participants.

The 2006 event will be held from September 1-4, 2006. The matches will be played at facilities in the metro New York City area.
