The New York Post dubbed New York City “The Red Apple” in the wake of Democrat Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral election victory.
The tabloid, owned by Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch, portrayed Mamdani holding up a red hammer and sickle with the headline “On your Marx, get set, Zo!” on the cover of its Wednesday print edition.
