“Be stubborn about your goals, and/but flexible about your methods” is a saying that has been printed on many images. This is similar to the older expression, “There’s more than one way to get there.” The goal might be to lose weight, or to become a millionaire, or to earn a college degree. If one strategy (or method) doesn’t work, according to this saying, one should try another strategy.
