“Bacon makes it better” (“Bacon makes everything better”)

Bacon-mania hit in the 2000s with cookbooks, new products, and essential slogans. In 1980, the Burger Chef restaurant chain advertised: “The chicken makes it good. The bacon makes it better. The New Chicken Club, only at Burger Chef.” The National Pork Board trademarked “Bacon Makes It Better” in 2001.

Cookbook author Sara Perry added to the bacon trend with her book, Everything Tastes Better With Bacon: 70 Fabulous Recipes for Every Meal of the Day (2002).

“Bacon Makes Everything Better” became popular in 2008, when the slogan was placed on T-shirts.
