“A piece of gold walks into a bar…” (bar joke)

“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A popular chemistry joke is:

“A piece of gold walks into a bar. The Barman says, ‘Au, get out of here!’”

“Au” (pronounced like “hey you!”) is the chemical symbol of gold. “A U get out of here!” was cited in print in February 2008. The joke was cited on Twitter on February 22, 2009 and has been printed on GIFs.
