“A nonrenewable natural resource walks into a bar…” (bar joke)
“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A science joke is:
“A non-renewable natural resource walks into a bar and orders a tall glass of whiskey. The bartender says, ‘Sorry, friend, I can’t serve you. You’ve been getting wasted all day long.’”
The joke has been cited in print since at least 2011.
