“A mole walks into a bar…” (bar joke)
“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A science joke is:
“A mole walks into a bar. The bartender says ‘Sorry, we don’t serve moles here due to a beer law.’ Then the mole says, ‘Idiot. Beer’s law applies to light!’”
The joke has been cited in print since at least 2008. A bar joke mentioning “Beer’s law” should be popular, but the joke—perhaps too technical—has been very rarely told.
Wikipedia: Beer-Lambert law
The Beer–Lambert law, also known as Beer’s law, the Lambert–Beer law, or the Beer–Lambert–Bouguer law relates the attenuation of light to the properties of the material through which the light is traveling. The law is commonly applied to chemical analysis measurements and used in understanding attenuation in physical optics, for photons, neutrons or rarefied gases. In mathematical physics, this law arises as a solution of the BGK equation.

A spectrophotometer walks into a bar and asks for a beer. When he receives his beer, he exclaims to the bartender, “I can’t drink this! It doesn’t follow the beer’s law!”
