“A malapropism walks into a bar…” (bar joke)
“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A malapropism version is:
“A malapropism walks into a bar, looking for all intensive purposes like a wolf in cheap clothing, muttering epitaphs and casting dispersions on his magnificent other, who takes him for granite.”
The malapropism joke was posted on Language Matters on September 20, 2014. (This date may be incorrect.) The joke became popular in February 2018.
