“A guy walks into a bar…lucky bastard” (bar joke, told during COVID-19 bar closures)
“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” However, during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, most bars were closed. The joke was:
“A guy/man walks into a bar…lucky bastard.”
“A guy walks into a bar…Lucky bastard” was posted on Twitter by Fee Muir on April 13, 2020. “A man walks into a bar….. Lucky bastard” was posted on Twitter by Dan (and others) on April 14, 2020.
“A man doesn’t walk into a bar…,” “A man doesn’t walk into a pub…,” “An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman don’t walk into a bar” and “An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman walk into a bar. Those were the days” are related jokes.
