“A bishop walks straight into a bar…” (bar joke)
“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A chess version is:
“A bishop walks straight up to the bar and the barman says, ‘You can’t do that. Bishops can only move diagonally.’”
The joke was posted on Reddit on July 2, 2016.
A different version had been posted on Twitter on October 21, 2015:
“A king and a bishop walk into a bar. Barman says to the king: ‘I can’t serve your mate. He can’t walk straight.’”
