“Zucchini: Vegetable that can be baked, boiled, fried or steamed before kids refuse to eat it”

A jocular definition of zucchini is:

“Zucchini: Vegetable that can be baked, boiled, fried or steamed before kids refuse to eat it.”

The jocular definition was posted to the newsgroup misc.kids.breastfeeding in 1998 and possibly comes from the book The Mom Dictionary (1993) by Valerie McKeown and Chris Brethwaite.
