Apple Awards (Guides Association of New York City)

The Guides Association of New York City (GANYC) is a private group; all members are tour guides licensed by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs. An apple is part of the association’s logo.

The GANYC’s first annual Apple Awards ceremony was scheduled for March 2015. New York City’s public school teachers began its similarly named annual “Big Apple Awards” in 2013.

Guides Association of New York City (GANYC)
Why Go GANYC? GANYC was founded by licensed guides for licensed guides. We are one of the oldest and most active tour guides associations in America and our members adhere to the law. All of our members are licensed by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs.

NYC licensed guides are the best ‘bang-for-your-tourism-buck.’ Take the time to enjoy our site, learn what our members have to offer and above all, enjoy the benefits; a GANYC member will make your time worthwhile. We are the inside track to The Big Apple.

SOME NICE NEWS
I recently received some nice news that I thought I’d share. The Guides Association of New York City (GANYC) will be holding their First Annual GANYC Apple Awards ceremony in March of 2015. The association has informed me that I’ve been nominated for one of their awards, the one for “Outstanding Achievement in Support of NYC Culture.” Needless to say, I’m extremely flattered by the nomination.
