“Spring needs to stand up to winter and kick it in the snowballs”

"Spring needs to stand up to winter and kick it in the snowballs” is a jocular one-line saying that has been printed on many images. “Spring needs to stand up to Winter and kick it in the snowballs” was posted on Twitter on March 24, 2013.

The saying probably originated with this ecard

February 2017 – A mixed bag
22nd February 2017 Rocket Rich
February, what a mixed bag in so many ways. We went from forecasts of holy crap I can’t feel my face to the belief that Spring really is on its way. So I say to Spring, stand up to winter and give it a hefty kick in the snowballs! This constant teasing of warmer promises is getting tedious.
