Spokeshole (spokesman/spokesperson + asshole)

"Spokeshole” or “spokes-hole” (spokesman/spokesperson + asshole) is a term used by those who believe that a spokesperson is making nonsensical, overly subservient points. The “spokeshole” term is often directed at the White House Press Secretary, the spokesperson for the executive branch of government.

“Spokeshole” has been cited in print since at least 2000. Other nicknames for a spokesman/spokesperson include “spokes-hack,” “spokes-idiot,” “spokes-liar” and “spokes-tool.”
