SHCOOL (failed spelling of “school”)

“SHCOOL” is a failed spelling of “SCHOOL” that has been painted on several roads. These images have been used as a meme to discuss “school” and “failure.”

CHEEZburger LOL Builder has 10 Lolz (joke captions) based on a photo of the “SHCOOL” mispelling.

In beautifully-painted, giant white letters the word ‘Shcool’ is spelled out on the road of a Mid-West American town, presumably for the benefit of Sean Connery impersonators everywhere.

The offending sign was painted on a road near Northwood Elementary in the town of Kalamazoo in the state of Michigan.

US road painters write ‘SHCOOL’ outside North Carolina high school
American road painters were left red-faced after they painstakingly inked the word “SHCOOL” outside a high school in North Carolina.

The road outside the Guilford county school had recently been re-paved, and road crews were ordered to mark the school zones last week.

A spokesman for Traffic Markings, the contractor that painted the faulty sign, admitted that workers had “made a mistake” and said the sign would be fixed.

Spelling the word “school” has proved a challenge to other US road painters in the past. Last year a road crew directed Miami drivers to “SCOHOL”.

Spell check! ‘Shcool’ blunder erased
By Jessica Simeone
January 25, 2012 | 5:00am
“Shcool” is out.

Following a story in yesterday’s Post, red-faced Con Ed officials quickly ground down a piece of Stanton Street pavement to replace a humiliating spelling error — “SHCOOL X-NG” — etched outside a building housing three schools.

Authorities blamed the blunder on a clueless contractor.

A MUST READ: 30 Blocks of Squalor & Cigarette Taxes for the Children
By Jim Quinn
It’s that time of year again – when the little juvenile delinquents, future prison inmates, and functionally illiterate junior members of the free s*** army pick up their “free” backpacks and “free” school supplies they will never use and shuffle off to the decaying prison like schools in the City of Philadelphia to eat “free” breakfasts and “free” lunches, while being taught government sanctioned pablum by overpaid mediocre union teachers.
(A “SHCOOL” road marking is illustrated with the text.—ed.)
