“Ready, Willing & Able” (Doe Fund)
"The Doe Fund" is a homeless-advocacy group that was started by George McDonald. "Ready, Willing and Able" is its major program, begun in 1990.

Fortunately, it's not named "Ready, Able and Willing" (R.A.W.).

The Doe Fund is a New York based non-profit organization whose mission is to help formerly homeless men achieve lives of independence and self-sufficiency.

The Doe Fund's primary goal is to provide these individuals with the job skills training, social support services and the paid employment experience necessary to secure and maintain private sector employment and self-supported housing.

2 October 1988, New York , pg. 42:
"After she became addicted to crack, other people would criticize me for giving her money," says George McDonald, the founder of the Doe Fund Inc., an organization set up to aid homeless people.
