“Problem with banker jokes - bankers don’t think they’re funny and others don’t think they’re jokes”

A joke is told about lawyer jokes:

“The trouble with lawyer jokes is that lawyers don’t think they’re funny, and nobody else thinks they’re jokes.”

This joke about lawyer jokes became popular in 1994. The joke has been told about bankers since at least 2011.
