The “Occupy Wall Street” movement in 2011 received both cheers and scorn for the “occupiers.” The derogatory nickname “Occutard” or “occutard” (occupy + retard) has been cited in print since at least October 4, 2011.
Similar political terms using “retard” (or “-tard") include “Retardican” (since January 1996), “sheeptard” (since March 1999), “Republitard” (since April 2002), “neotard” (since May 2002), “rightard” (since January 2003), “patriotard” (since April 2003), “Demotard” (since July 2003), “libtard” (since July 2004), “GOPtard” (since July 2004), “leftard” (since August 2004), “wingtard” (since October 2004), “conservatard” (since November 2005), “truthtard” (since October 2006), “Muzztard”(since December 2006), “ecotard” (since July 2007), “climatard” (since December 2008), “teatard” (since March 2009) and “crumbtard” (since May 2011).
Wikipedia: Occupy Wall Street
Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is an ongoing series of demonstrations in New York City based in Zuccotti Park in the Wall Street financial district, and were initiated by the Canadian activist group Adbusters. Participants are mainly protesting social and economic inequality, corporate greed, and the power and influence of corporations, particularly from the financial service sector, and of lobbyists, over government. The participants’ slogan “We are the 99%” refers to the difference in wealth between the top 1% and the other citizens of the United States.
By October 9, similar demonstrations were either ongoing or had been held in 70 major cities and over 600 communities in the U.S., including the estimated 100,000 people who demonstrated on October 15. Internationally, other “Occupy” protests have modeled themselves after Occupy Wall Street, in over 900 cities worldwide.

Occupy San Diego
Make no mistake, bubba, the Occupy San Diego (Occu-tards) crowd is COMPETELY in the pocket of government officials. They’re the darlings of labor unions, ESPECIALLY public-employee unions, and their bedfellows offer nothing of any use, nothing constructive.

George Will hits it right on the nose with this one: Here’s to a long life for Occupy Wall Street.
A tax increase generates less revenue than expected? Wow! I’m shocked! Are you shocked?
The Occutards, assisted by Van Jones, Soros-funded progressives and labor unions, are mounting a major effort to enact a global financial transactions tax.
OwlGore wants to ride the coattails of the Occutards, stating that they are concerned about everything “from the economy to the climate crisis.” The Occutards are protesting global warming?
Bill Clinton says the Occutards are engaged in “good positive debate.”
What has mystified me about these Occutards ever since their little hissy fit/temper tantrum “occupations” began is this — They’re “occupying” the places where their mentality already rules. Occupy San Francisco? For what? That would be like Campus Crusade for Christ (er, I’m sorry, “Cru”) paying a visit to Liberty University.
