Economedian (economist + comedian)
The term “economedian” (economist + comedian) can apply to an economist who has a sense of humor, or it can have a derogatory use describing an economist who is laughably bad at the occupation. “Conservative economedian Ben Stein” was cited in print in 2008 and “Economedian Paul Krugman” was cited in print in 2013.
Yoram Bauman, Ph.D., who has called himself “the world’s first and only stand-up economist” and who has a website called Stand-Up Economist, has frequently been called an “economedian.”
