“Eat, drink and be scary”
“Eat, drink, and be merry” is a biblical saying. “Eat, drink and be scary” has been printed on many images and is a popular saying around Halloween.
“Let us eat, drink,and be scary” was published in a poem in the Chicago (IL) Daily Tribune on April 2, 1949. Newspaper advertisements for Dairy Queen restaurants in 1969 and 1970 used “Eat, drink and be SCARY.”
