"Dumbo Heights” (DUMBO/Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass + Brooklyn Heights) is the name that real estate developers publicized in May 2014 for the development of the purchased Jehovah’s Witnesses “Watchtower” building complex. The old buildings were planned for an office and retail complex in Brooklyn’s Tech Triangle.
The name “Dumbo Heights” had a mixed public reaction. One commenter on Gothamist pointed out that “Down under the manhattan bridge overpass...heights” didn’t make sense.

“We really want to create a product you won’t find anywhere else in Brooklyn, or most of the city for that matter,” Mr. Kushner said during a recent tour of what has been nicknamed Dumbo Heights.
