“Dieting is not a piece of cake”

"Dieting is not a piece of cake”—a jocular use of the expression “piece of cake”—has been printed on posters. “Dieting is no piece of cake” is a headline that was used in many newspapers in April 1990, over a “Dear Abby” advice column. Diabetes Is Not a Piece of Cake by Janet Meirelles was a popular book title in 1994. “Dieting is definitely not a piece of cake!” was cited in a 1998 book.

“I don’t understand why I cant lose weight.  I thought dieting was a piece of cake” was cited on Twitter on December 6, 2012.

Dieting is no piece of cake.
Dieting is wishful shrinking.
Dieting is for those who bend over and are exposed in the end.
