Costco, a membership warehouse club, is the third largest retailer in the United States. The company began in Kirkland, Washington, in 1983.

The nickname of “Crapco” for Costco has been cited in print since at least 2004.

Why do a much greater percentage of Costco employees have benefits compared to the percentage of Walmart employees?
