College Pointer (inhabitant of College Point, Queens)

"College Pointer” is the name of an inhabitant of College Point, in the borough of Queens. The name “College Pointer” has been cited in print since at least 1906.

“College Pointer” creates some confusion with the lowercase “college pointer” (tips for attending college).
