Libertarian radio talk show host Neal Boortz has called himself a “high priest of the Church of the Painful Truth” since at least July 2000. There is no official “Church of the Painful Truth,” but a few others have also claimed to be church members, telling the painful truth to others.
“Church of the Painful Truth” is almost exclusively associated with Neal Boortz and hasn’t yet become an idiomatic expression, such as the “school of hard knocks.”

That’s a good start! He’s an Atlanta based talk-radio guy who happens to be Libertarian. He bills himself as the High Priest of the Church of the Painful Truth. Been at it for a long time in the Atlanta area but his national audience is growing. I find the guy pretty amusing—my Atlanta uncles think he’s a wacko!
Church of the Painful Truth
A place where the truth is told, not candy-coated and definitely not PC. The truth may be painful to some, like enviro-weenies who actually believe in global warming, and the “Bush lied” crowd. You’ve been warned. Now, jump in, don’t be afraid, the truth may hurt, but it won’t kill ya.

As my first post to this blog I would like to welcome anyone who stumbles into here. I will be posting here as often as I can and welcome any input. I am a Conservative, not necessarily Republican, and most of my views will show this.

Neal Boortz, who’s carried by Cox Radio Syndication and JRN, bills himself as “High Priest of the Church of the Painful Truth,” and his recent ads in trade publications feature the quotation “How can we take airport security seriously until ethnic profiling is not only permitted, but encouraged?”
