Summary:
The Kilcher family lives on a 600-acre homestead in Alaska. For four generations, they have lived off the land in a subsistence lifestyle. With another brutal winter quickly approaching, the entire homestead struggles to stockpile enough meat to last the next eight months. They face a crisis after bears kill two of the family’s cattle, and Atz Lee is forced to pin all his hopes of surviving the winter on one last hunting trip.
